LEE THOMPSON YOUNG #RIP Gone a bit too soon
( and now a member of the 29 club..those people who can’t adjust and that self destruct between the ages of 28 and 30)
In astrological terms, he was undergoing his first Saturn return (These periods are estimated to occur at roughly the ages of 29, 58 and 87. A fourth return occurs for only a few people, at age 114-118. Saturn seeks weaknesses, if you have any particular natal issues concerning Saturn, there is a very good chance that he will “take advantage” of those weaknesses. He will test us through all manner of Trial and Tribulation during the above periods of our lives. Many of us don’t survive the third return.
Of course, the brief Bio then to the charts
“Lee Thompson Young’s star quality has graced the stage, the small screen and the big screen from a very early age. Portraying ‘Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.‘ in the production of “A Night Of Stars And Dreams” in his hometown of Columbia, South Carolina at the mere age of 10 inspired him to pursue a career as an actor.
Young’s professional career took off with his leading role on the Disney Channel television series, “The Famous Jett Jackson” (1998). Lee can be seen in the hit TNT series “Rizzoli & Isles” (2010), playing Detective Barry Frost, the partner of Jane Rizzoli (Angie Harmon). A passionate student of the craft of acting, Lee conducted extensive research with the Homicide Unit of the Boston Police Department in preparation for the role.
He is also widely recognized for his work co-starring in several films, including _Friday Night Lights_ with Billy Bob Thornton, Akeelah and the Bee (2006) with Angela Bassett and Laurence Fishburne and Redemption: The Stan Tookie Williams Story (2004) (TV) with Jamie Foxx.
In 2008 Young signed a talent development deal with ABC, which resulted in a critically acclaimed seven-episode arc in the drama“FlashForward” (2009). He also played important recurring roles on both the hit comedy “Scrubs” (2001) and the fan favorite “Smallville” (2001). He’s appeared on numerous television series including “The Event” (2010), “The Guardian” (2001), “South Beach” (2006), and “Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles” (2008).
After working with directors Shawn Levy, James Marshall and Milan Cheylov at a young age, Lee became fascinated with the art, craft, and discipline of film making. He attended the USC School of Cinematic Arts on a full academic scholarship, where he graduated with honors. He is an avid photographer who enjoys traveling and immersing himself in the culture of the places he visits. He has studied many different styles of martial arts throughout his life and is training Wun Hop Kuen Do and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. He is very passionate about education and children, and a strong supporter of the Children’s Defense Fund. ” -IMDB
So now onto the charts ( oh I did not include the usual Chiron..forgot to add it to the charts (shrug))
For events ( births deaths ect) where I do not have a time of birth, I prefer to use a “Sunrise” chart, to make it a bit easier to use “solar houses”
I make it a habit to look at the natals first. This will show any underlying conditions of personalty that may be of major importance in the person’s life and personality traits.
The one formation that really pops to my eye is a loose Sun/Moon conjunction with both Sun and Moon squaring off against Saturn, Mars , and Pluto
Sun and or Moon squares bring with them much in the way of anger and conflict..
Aquarius Moon Square Scorpio Mars Hostile feelings, Violent emotional reactions. Quick to take offense.. always ready for a fight.. Do what they do and “F” how anyone else feels about it . Complete disregard for consequences. Surprising that Lee has not had any run-in’s with the law. Or perhaps he had and this Astrologer just missed it 🙂
Aquarius Sun Square Scorpio Mars Passionate and vital, but often uncontrolled. Hardships through impulsivity, egocentrism, arrogance and / or anger . If Saturn is in good aspects with Mars or Sun, then he will add a bit of cooling to the aspect.. restraining the otherwise unrestrained “passions”.
Aquarius Sun Square Scorpio Saturn these peeps tend towards having a cold, selfish and very reserved streak in them. they refuse to reach out and ask for help and this severely hampers their ability to express themselves. Only through hard work and dedicated effort can they overcome the trying circumstances and heavy responsibilities that are placed in the way of their success.
Aquarius Moon Square Scorpio Saturn ( I usually attribute this to a bit of a depression) Inhibits personal warmth , adds a bit of detachment. Prone to depression, despondency, self-pity, unhappiness, and thoughts along the line of ” dammit not again!” and hardships as not learning and growing experiences, but as burdens
Aquarius Sun Square Scorpio Pluto Pluto becomes a very coercive force with this aspect, bringing a certain degree of ruthlessness in attainment of one’s goals. An intense and extreme desire to accomplish one’s goals. Think of the Mars “just Do It ” attitude , but with a far darker side.
Aquarius Moon Square Scorpio Pluto This is what I call a big bad nasty… A refusal to be emotionally dominated, but very good at emotionally manipulating others. Depending on what else is indicated, can be either mentally, emotionally, verbally or physically abusive and / or controlling. Pluto gives the Pluto Moon square people a definite “menacing” aspect.. working through threats and coercion .
(These indicators do ring true with the bio, especially the intense study of homicide units for his role in “Rizzoli & Isles” and his passionate pursuit of martial arts. )
Now with Mars and Saturn both sharing Scorpio Natally (something I call a “LOOSE” conjunction I think it is important to cover what both Saturn in Scorpio and Mars in Scorpio mean.
Saturn is not happy or nice in Scorpio, Generally, with an intense ,shrewd, calculating and secretive way when it comes to overcoming obstacles. This is the sort of person who would lay out poisoned meat to deal with the neighbors dog pooping in their yard instead of confronting the neighbor directly about the matter. Yeah, that sort of thing. ( I don’t think Lee ever did THAT but ya get the point?) This cause far more troubles for it brings about suspicion and apprehension in others.
