Speaking Astrology Through Hip Hop
A great post by a great astrologer friend of mine. 🙂 give it a read
True to my Sagittarian mind, I’m on an infinite quest to “connect” the dots. To take various bits of information and synthesize, thereby creating a whole.
In fact, these pieces may even seem to be unrelated at the time. For most of my adult life, music and astrology have consistently spoken to me. Both are universal languages, and I am of the opinion that if we know how and where to look, we can discover the themes of these two beautiful symbolic tongues manifesting in almost everything around us.
Since I’m a hip hop head, I’ve put together a collection of lyrics for the 12 signs of the zodiac to help you better understand their underlying themes and thought processes. I hope you enjoy.

Astrological Archetypes #Astrology
Carl Jung, a Swiss psychologist and psychotherapist, who is credited(along with Aristotle) with giving rise to the term “Archetype” and broadening it’s exposure, has defined it as :
“a universal and recurring image, pattern, or motif representing a typical human experience.”
Although these images are”universal”, they’re transformed and re-worked. Thereby, given a unique expression based on cultural influence. Archetypes represent patterns of behavior and models of people, which can reach us through a myriad of ways. Symbols, dreams, myths, art and music are just the tip of the iceberg of how these images permeate our consciousness.
Astrologically, our birth charts are infused with the energy and imprint of these archetypes in their own unique pattern. The recognition of how these forces are organized within our psyche is one of the keys to how we can realize and fulfill our deepest potentials; how we can actualize our most authentic nature.

One of the finest and most blatant example of the old Pluto in Leo energies…. taken to the extreme, of course . Pretty Certain MOK has a strong Scorpio Moon bent. If you haven’t heard of Rock N Rule.. one of the best “rock operas” out there. It is the ONLY Sci-Fi Rock Opera that I am aware of.

No one in the industry is so devoted to showing and teaching girls how to be strong and independent young women like P!nk does. A grand master of taking her personal childhood pains and trials as an adult to help others in similar situations heal. And not taking any crap in the process.
I have always figured Pink to be an Aries Moon from her love of very short “butch” or military style hair and well, knives. This also comes through in her very energetic and often combative vid styles .. plenty of fire
